# unsupported_media_type

> The request's Content-Type is not one this operation takes: JSON for most, multipart/form-data for a direct upload.

HTTP `415` · `retryable` is `false`

Operations with a body take `Content-Type: application/json`, `POST /v2/media` takes `multipart/form-data` with a
file part, and a presigned upload's bytes must be sent with the content type the upload declared.

**What to do:** set the `Content-Type` header the operation expects, as the [reference](/docs/api/media) lists.
