# session_ended

> The session has ended, so it takes no new messages or answers. Start a new session.

HTTP `409` · `retryable` is `false`

Ending a session closes it: its open asks are cancelled, and new messages, answers and updates for it are refused.
`kabu session start` refuses an `--external-id` whose session has ended in the same way.

**What to do:** start a new session, or send the message without one. See
