# incompatible_scopes

> A key was to hold messages:write together with answers:delegate or steer:write. Asking and answering never share a key.

HTTP `400` · `retryable` is `false`

Creating or changing a key would give it the power to send messages as an agent and to answer for a person at
once. Kabu refuses that combination, so no single key can both ask and approve.

**What to do:** make two keys: an `agent` key that sends, and a `service` key that answers on people's behalf. See
